Why women drink less than men?

It is fairly known that women cannot drink as much alcohol as men. There are even jokes about this, such as the old pick-up line, "How about going to a bar until you find me handsome?". Yet there isn't as much information about why.

Women cannot drink as much alcohol as men because their bodies have fewer enzymes called alcohol dehydrogenase, which helps the body break down alcohol to process it. With fewer enzymes, women's bodies become drunk more quickly than men's with the same amount of liquor.
