Vodka

Vodka is originally a liquor from Northern Europe. This means the current territories of Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, but also the Nordic ones. Vodka is made from a mix of grains now, but it may also be made from a South American plant: the potato. Anyway, vodka is a very popular drink everywhere.

Black Russian

ice
1 1/2 oz. vodka
1 oz. coffee liquor

The Black Russian is an easily made classic cocktail. Just pour the vodka and the coffee liquor over ice and add a stirrer as garnish.

Bloody Mary

ice
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
dash tabasco sauce
1/4 oz. Lee Perrins sauce
1/2 oz. lemon juice
2 oz. vodka
fill with tomato juice

The Bloody Mary is a direct cocktail. Pour the ingredients into a highball glass and garnish it with a piece of celery to enjoy it best.

Cassis screwdriver

ice
1 1/2 oz. vodka
1/2 oz. cream of Cassis
fill with orange juice
dash lemon juice
dash grenadine syrup

This cocktail might not be very popular, but it's tasty. Make one pouring the ingredients into a highball glass, and adding a slice of orange and a stirrer to garnish.

Godmother

ice
1 1/2 oz. vodka
1 oz. amaretto

Another classic... the Godmother is actually a variant of the Godfather. To prepare one, just pour the ingredients into an old-fashioned glass. Next, add a stirrer and a cherry to garnish.

Harvey Wall Banger

ice
2 oz. vodka
fill with orange juice
1/2 oz. Galliano

The Harvey Wall Banger is a screwdriver with some Galliano liquor. Prepare one easily by pouring the orange juice over the ice and the vodka, and then adding the Galliano on top. This drink is usually garnished with an orange wedge and a cherry.

Screwdriver

hielo
2 oz. vodka
fill with orange juice

This classic cocktail is very easy too. Just pour the vodka over ice and fill the highball glass with orange juice. Add an orange wedge to garnish.

Vodka cooler

ice
1/2 oz. lemon juice
1/2 oz. grenadine syrup
2 oz. vodka
fill with tonic water

This is a refreshing drink. Make one pouring all the ingredients above into a long-drink glass. To garnish, add an orange or lemon twist and a few mint leaves.

Vodka dry

ice
2 oz. vodka
fill with ginger ale

Another simple cocktail. Prepare a vodka dry pouring the ingredients into a highball glass. To garnish, add a slice of lemon and a stirrer.

Vodka tonic

ice
2 oz. vodka
fill with tonic water

This is one of my easy-to-make favourites, pour the ingredients in a highball glass, and add a slice of lemon and a stirrer to garnish.

White Russian

ice
1 oz. vodka
1 oz. coffee liquor
1 oz. evaporated milk

As you guessed, this is a variant of the Black Russian cocktail. To make one, pour the ingredients above into an old-fashioned glass and add a stirrer to garnish.
