About Heptagrama

The site

My name is Jorge Enrique Aguayo, or Tedel, and I am the author of Heptagrama. This website was conceived in 2001, born in 2005, and started gaining notoriety in 2006.

Heptagrama has a very simple —yet challenging— objective: to try to filter out the good from the bad information on the Internet, using summaries instead of long explanations; and asking professionals to verify the information instead of just trusting blindly on uncertain information sources.

That being said, why read Heptagrama? One reason! Heptagrama is a good reliable information source. One of Heptagrama's goals is to have its share in eradicating world ignorance over the next few decades.

The star

Many people comment about the star on the site, the Heptagrama. Some think that this is a mystic website written by a Shaolin monk or hermitic philosopher wishing to make a contribution to the world. Some imagined satanic rites and rituals. Heptagrama does not mean any of those.

To be honest, I chose the colour and the star because I liked them.

Later, I learnt a seven-point star, or heptagram, is considered a symbol among pagans (fairy star) and Christians (perfection). If you wish, you can consider the heptagram upside down as a way to say, "I am not perfect, but there is nothing wrong in pursuing perfection".

As for purple, it is the colour of royalty; the colour of mysticism; the colour of change, and a good colour to share information as well, so you can consider it, like the star, a happy coincidence.
